Wazapp, the community IM application for the Nokia N9 that allows you to chat on the WhatsApp network has had the Source Code released. I hope more of the MeeGo Harmattan Developer Community can rally round tgalal and further improve this excellent application. All due credit to him of taking on this task, making a very stable initial release(s) and now releasing the source code to the community.
Wazapp consists of 2 parts, the IM application (wazapp), which is in Python, and the accounts plugin (waxmppplugin) in C++. The accounts plugin should be rewritten in python soon.

Installing It requires some additional applications on like python….. And it is refusing to install on my N900.

I installed it… I just downloaded the package, then uninstalled the previous one and then install the new package…. Well.. It worked for me and i dont have any problems yet.. So.. Good luck

Help anyone, I am frustrated, desperate to use wazapp on my n9. Tried millions time to log in but failed, I downloaded the deb via wazapp.im right onto my n9, but as I tried to sign in, failed millions times..I waited and waited but still failing me, what’s wrong…I reset the phone, take out sim card, re-do it again and again…..what’s wrong here!!!!!!!

I tried to use wazapp on my N950, but when I tried to register, I never received any SMS with the confirmation code.
Now, each time I try to register, I get the following errors :
for SMS registration : «Failed. Server said: fail-too-many»
same for «code through voice»
when I try the «everything failed» button, I get «Failed. Server said: unknown reason»

Urgent help
Try the following :
1. Reinstall Wazapp on your N9 (and your SIM card is in N9)
2. Install Whatsapp on another phone, without a SIM card.
3. Register Whatsapp on the other phone (in my case was Samsung Note)
4. During the registration process, you will receive an SMS with the code on your N9.
5. Turn off Wifi or Phone on your other phone.
6. Try to register Wazapp on N9 now, after it fails, choose to enter code manually.
7. Enter the code you received in the SMS.
8. In case u dont receive the SMS, try the Voice option on the other device, you will get a Auto-call on yr N9 which will prompt you the 3 digit code.
8. All set to go…
