Is it possible for third party applications to appear on the lock screen as well? Specifically I want Spotify on the lock screen :)

  3. Hey Ash,

I have PR1.1 on N950 and its 39.5, i wonder if N9 is still going to be behind N950..

    hmm

It’s important to note that the 39-4 version provided may not be PR 1.1 for the N9.
All builds provided to externals have the PR tag added to them, it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the build getting released.

Also, note the full version string. The N950 is on a different branch than the N9 (although I’ve heard that they want to merge them back into a single branch). Since the version codes we’re using in short hand are: week number – build number (eg, week 39 build 4) are based on time, it’s very possible that the 39-4 for the N9 is on par with 39-5 on the N950.

The white N9s seen previously were also prototype devices dating back many months. It’s probably really good news that they’re releasing it as a new colour though… really shows the sales are coming through and Maemo/MeeGo gets to go out with a bang.
