It had to happen and about time to, MeeGoExperts gets hands on time with the the Nokia N9 and I really wasn’t disappointed

This is not a review of the unit, just a quick walk through and this is still considered Beta software BUT it performs brilliantly. NOTHING Multitasks like this thing, NOTHING. There is also a quick look at the Developer MeeGo N950 device.

Not just like – WANT!
Quick question: On the N900 I’m unable to select multiple text messages – e.g. in order to delete them. This makes cleaning up the SMS inbox quite a tedious task since each message has to be deleted individually. Do you know if selection of multiple text messages is possible in MeeGo Harmattan?
Nice video, can you show/tell how you close all open applications? Hate how you have to close them in iPhone by double clicking the physical button and one by one press (X).
good question. i have seen a SINGLE video review which shows apps being closed by swiping from top to bottom quickly (when in the app). i have not seen this feature in a single other hands-on or video review. it is not mentioned in the user manual, either.
Hi
I would like to know if there is any Music widget on the lock screen ?
Tks
Chris : i have the N950, and yes, multiple selection is possible : just tap ‘delete’ and then it comes like in N900, a special mode to do multiple selections with a toolbar on bottom containing two buttons “delete” and “cancel”
Curious:
just long press anywhere in switcher, so it enter in close mode, so just close one or two apps, or tap the ‘close all’ button on the bottom (you have a cancel button too).
Thank you, sounds good. =)
I got a quick hands on so I cant go through some of these requests. Just hope I can get one soon
Great hands on. I would also like to know if there is a music widget on the lock screen. This phone looks amazing, I can’t wait until I get my own hands-on.
I wonder why on Earth Nokia decided not to release commercially N950. It’s a great device, perfect successor for N900
‘nokia’ in general would like to release it (although not in exactly that form factor). some very senior management at nokia (one person in particular) has said no.
Can you guys see if the front camera is applied to the camera application. It looks as though (in all videos of the N9) there’s been no current funtionality of it. I think it is very important to the development of the phone. Also, do you think the wallpaper of the homescreens may be customizable in the future?
