Everybody knows that the Nokia N8 is the Mobile Phone Camera King and as such no one expected the Nokia N9 to take it on in this respect, but the final specs of the Nokia N9 showed that it is packing some serious Carl Zeiss heat in this department.
As the phone isn’t even released lets not go too deep into this right now. Heres the Videos:
First the Nokia N8
And next the Nokia N9
What do you think ?

not bad at all. i hope with the final firmware it will do a better job.
That won’t happen, as he will still ditch MeeGo no matter how well it might perform. I’m smelling some Trojan Horse-ing here again. The actual plan is to release a 12-megapixel version of this N950 to consumers when the N9 goes successful (and will rename it to N9-01), but let’s understand that as long as Stephen Elop is there, destruction will always be there. Nokia’s shares will erode further, profits will decrease and acquisition would take place. Isn’t it an odd thing for him to announce the Windows Phone right after the company’s announcement of their MeeGo flagship? Of course, everything is planned. Everything is planned by Elop and it’s pretty much obvious; we don’t know what’s up with him and what’s happening, but he will keep doing his hidden agenda for Microsoft. I hope Nokia realizes how much they were damaged due to Elop’s craziness, and will manage to kick him out and get a new CEO, so we can all relive the MeeGo strategy.
What do I think? I think I would much prefer some sample videos of waterfalls, puppies, clowns, birds or maybe girls walking in the mall/beach/park or something instead of a shaky panning of an empty room! I mean, come on guys.
Now seriously, N8 videos are known to be able to display rolling-shutter effects, what unfortunately isn’t much perceptible here, it would have been great to be able to compare that. It’s pretty much the one single biggest problem we can point at N8′s camera, specially in regard to video (regarding stills, there isn’t much of a problem we can point at all it seems!
)
Although we can’t compare that here, there is one single difference between both videos that we can easily see… The N9 has a much larger field-of-view. I would love to be sure the videos were shot in the same format or not (most certainly were, 720p). My guess is both cameras have the same wide-angle, 28mm equivalent focal depth and sensor size, but because the N8 has a larger resolution, they have to use a smaller part of the sensor for videos. The N9, by having a smaller resolution, uses a larger part of the sensor and thus can make wider-angle videos.
